Utah Water Gardens is a pond store, aquatic nursery and full-service pond company. At our Salt Lake City location, we sell the plants, fish, pumps, filtration, liner and supplies that we also work with in the field.
Bring pond photos, measurements, a plant question or details of a troublesome pump. Our store connects practical product guidance with experience installing, maintaining and repairing aquatic systems. For questions that need a closer look at the property, we offer on-site consultations.

Fish and plants are part of our daily work.
Our team includes horticulturists and aquatic biologists. We grow and propagate aquatic plants each season, identify plants and consider their growing conditions. We manage koi and other pond fish at our store and have hands-on experience handling and transporting fish.
That experience shapes the questions we ask about your pond: what lives in it, where plants are placed, how the water moves and how the system is maintained. Planting depth, sunlight, filtration, aeration and seasonal care all belong in the plan.

Ponds are our specialty. We bring B100 General Building Contractor and E100 General Engineering Contractor licensing to a business focused on aquatic environments—from excavation and construction to plants, fish and water circulation. We also hold nursery and business licenses and carry insurance.
Our crews build ponds and return to service them. That practical experience informs the details from the start: accessible equipment, maintainable filtration and a layout that works beyond installation day. You get construction expertise backed by people who understand how ponds need to be cared for.

We are an independent aquatic center, free to recommend equipment from multiple manufacturers. Your choices are not limited to one national pond brand’s product line. When another product better fits your pond, existing equipment or maintenance needs, we can recommend it.
A manufacturer badge is one thing to consider. Ask who will compare your options, explain the tradeoffs and service the equipment afterward. We source, sell, install and maintain pond equipment, so our guidance considers performance, compatibility, upkeep and replacement parts—not just the brand on the box.

Small jobs welcome. Capacity for the complex ones.
You do not need a large project to work with us. A seasonal cleanout, a fountain problem or help with a backyard pond is a good reason to call.
For larger work, we have multiple crews with experience across cleaning and maintenance, construction, harvesting and dredging. We can mobilize larger teams when the project calls for them and draw on a network of specialists when additional expertise is needed. The team and equipment should fit your project.

Specialized equipment opens up more options.
Our aquatic equipment includes dredges, harvesters, vacuum units, excavators, pump systems, aeration equipment, service trucks and diving gear. Several team members hold scuba certifications. We assess the work and the personnel required before choosing an approach.
For sediment removal, we can consider mechanical, hydraulic or vacuum-assisted dredging. For excess aquatic vegetation, harvesting may be part of the plan. Access, the material being removed and how it will be handled help determine which method fits the site.

Our horticulturists and aquatic biologists help distinguish desirable aquatic plants from invasive growth such as phragmites. We grow and propagate plants in our nursery and work with them in ponds, so identification is part of the job from the start.
That knowledge helps us decide what to preserve, what to remove and what follow-up care to plan. We consider the plants alongside fish, water movement and pond conditions before recommending vegetation management.
